Strange Autumn Trip

Interesting trip to the East Coast and back via Stavely

We set off late on Wednesday to stay with friends in Ganton near Scarborough in their drive and we had been invited for an evening meal.  They are our good friends who run the Gaia Tribe camp we go to every May.  Selma cooked us a lovely meal and whilst we were chatting afterwards Chris had a strange occurrence / absence / whatever.  Help was called for and eventually ambulances arrived and Chris was carted off reluctantly.  We were left behind, shocked, and didn’t feel we could go to bed before they returned and we wouldn’t have slept anyway!  We tidied up and sat waiting.  They came home at 2:30 am.  Obviously we had to debreif and went to be at about 3:30, but still couldnt sleep.  Chris had no after effects in the morning so we all had breakfast and we left for Filey.
First trip with new furnishings too!

We had booked in at Filey Brigg campsite which is council owned and run, and it is a lovely site with expansive clifftop views and well used, but immaculate facilities, including heated shower block!

We had a lovely wander on the beach and then the full length of the front in sunshine, but then the light changed and the clouds gathered.

We started our experiment with using Sandra’s laptop to watch films and downloaded boxed set serials which was a great success.

Friday and we went on to Stavely to park up behind the Royal Oak pub, then collect H from school.  Saturday morning was an early start to see Harry do his first belt in karate class – Red!

We also went to a village market in the village hall before departing for home once again.
