For a while the springs at the back of Heidi have been sad if not grumpy. We noticed banging now and again and have spotted posts on Classic Hymers Facebook page about people changing their springs.
The sad or grumpy was due to the old springs sagging – presenting a sad face. They should at least be flat or even happy.
New springs were sought and bought with birthday money from my mum from Jones Springs in Birmingham. They were fitted with loads of help from our kind neighbour Phil, how provided tools and muscle and 2 days saw the job off.
The result was impressive with a tighter rear end and no chance of bottoming out over speed bumps.
