Masons June 19

It was a difficult trip and a compensatory one! The year had been difficult because my mum had been given a terminal diagnosis of hours days and weeks back in April, but was settled in a (poor) nursing home and not looking like dying any time soon. France was not on the cards but things had settled enough to feel we could have a few days away. Masons was chosen for a good signal and quick journey home and a nice place. So compensating for missing France. It was also a celebration of Sandra’s trike as immediately after our trip here last September we bought her a trike from eBay. I had build a trike rack and we could test it on the journey and Sandra could ride it round the site. Weather forecast was good too!

We had uneventful journeys both ways and got home before the torrential rain which was forecast. We had some nice walks up and down the valley and a meal in the pub (essential) and lunch at Burnsall on the way home.

The trike rack worked nicely!
