Quick end of week break and a practice at touring and on spec arrival.
Ian and Jill next door recommended a small site at Kettlewell so we booked a Weds and Thursday night there. We liked Kettlewell and had a nice walk and meal in the pub.
On Friday we decided we would give Masons campsite at Appletreewick a go. We arrived on spec late morning and they could fit us in. We had an entertaining time watching people go and then come. Weekends and campsites get very full. Aplletreewick is one of those and they obviously have permission to overflow into the village cricket pitch next door in the summer so it was very busy. Might be nice midweek, offseason. Will try again.
