Weather looking good for a few days mid week so we planned first quick getaway of the year. A lot of debate about where, with Masons campsite in the frame but decided on Formby. Nice static site on the edge of the dunes with a handful of touring pitches.
Arrived in quick time easy journey and pitched up on quirky pitch with about 5 others. Toilets ok very clean once in. Fabulous dunes easy walk from the van.
We had a lovely 3 days. Bus into Formby every hour. Went to local pub one evening and walked back. Sunbathed on the beach. Izzy loved the dunes. Day trip to Southport on the train, which ran every 15 mins. Couldn't be nicer. Will return.
