Sandra had booked us on a site near Mevagissey for a week, but we still had a day to kill before we could arrive, so we had a short hop down the north coast for a night in Bude.
The campsite was alittle exposed on the cliff tops, but gave a lovely walk over the cliffs and into the town. We enjoyed a coffee and a beer and wandered back.
Onwards … we had plenty of time so had a little adventure on the way down including stopping at the Jamaca Inn
and parking up in St Austell for a pasty for lunch. We navigated narrow streets and an ordinary car park followed by single track lanes to arrive in paradise!
We stayed on this campsite for 8 nights, with electric and water and a lovely grassy pitch and sunshine. It had a heated outdoor pool which Sandra enjoyed everyday, and I went a few times. It was a15 minute downhill walk to the nearest beach which was spectacular. The walk back was longer, but we are better uphill! We visited Mevagissey by taxi twice. The first trip was for my birthday when we had a good look round, a boat trip which Izzy loved and a nice meal on the harbour.
