Autumn 2018

Mason's

September brought a spell of warm weather and we slipped off to Mason's campsite in Appletreewick for a midweek treat.  Very quiet site that week.  Sandra had been to look at trikes in York a couple of weeks previously and was pleased to find there was a trike at the site she could practice on.  Trikes are difficult to ride as you have to learn to steer and unlearn to balance.  After several determined goes around the site she got quite good to the point where we decided to get her one.  Friday at home again and one appeared on eBay in Burnley so off we went to buy a fabulous Pashley trike.

Back at Masosn's we had a walk down the river and an evening meal in the local pub and a walk up the river to Burnsal where the pub wasn't open for food at the time we were there.  We went for lunch on the way home instead!

Devon

Another trip to Devon early November.  Tewkesbury on the way down and back. Uneventful.

Siverdale

6th - 9th November saw our final trip of 2018 at our favourite bolt hole - Silverdale.  Warmish dry weather.  Usual stunning views and a collection of walks around the locality.  Wolfhouse for lunch.  Silverdale Hotel for tea one night. Stopped off at Lancaster Crook of Lune for an extra walk on the way home and lunch which made a change.
