Welcome to our Heidi Hymer website and blog.
Here you can find out all about what we get up to in our Hymer Motorhome: our travels, trials, tribulations and triumphs. She's an old vehicle with a classic feel and top quality fixtures and fittings but she is high maintenance and has need of loving care!
Heidi
Heidi is our 1994 Hymer B544 motorhome who came to us on May 15th 2014 following the sale of our beloved Oakley our wooden horsebox conversion (see here).
This website is called The Further Adventures of Heidi, because we don't know much about her travels before she came to us. We do know she was registered in Germany and imported to the UK in 2009 and has only done 102,000 km when we got her. We found her following a very short and impetuous search, having decided the next vehicle was to be a Hymer. I have long admired Hymers and remember seeing what looked like a caravan stuffed on a truck chassis several times and wondered what exactly they were. We looked at a Hymer in Halifax which was nice, but had an odd feeling and was very smokey running. We immediately searched locally and found Heidi as she was to be called in Denholm. We put a deposit down and bought her there and then!
Below is everywhere we've been and everything we've done to look after her, since we got her.
